Besiktas reporter Ogun Şahinoglu claims Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has agreed a 3-year contract with the Turkish club.
The transfer could be finalised tomorrow, with the Ivorian centre-back set to earn €2 million per season.
However, one of the more interesting snippets from Sahinoglu’s update is that Bailly is expected to sign for Besiktas on a free transfer.
Sahinoglu posted (translated by Twitter): “Eric Bailly’s transfer is expected to be finalized tomorrow at the latest. He will be invited to Istanbul when he agrees to leave with United. The contract will be for 3 seasons and the annual fee will be around 2 million Euros.”
Eric Bailly transferinin en geç yarın netleşmesi bekleniyor. United ile ayrılık için anlaştığında İstanbul'a davet edilecek.

The update was cited by newspaper Sebah, adding: “Beşiktaş have signed a major 3-year deal with Manchester United’s Eric Bailly. Black and white are waiting for news from the 29-year-old defender’s breakup meeting with United. The player is expected to sign in a short time without a fee.”
If United accept such a deal it would tell us that they’re happy with getting Bailly off the wage books. And, it has been clear since Ten Hag’s arrival that he has no future at Old Trafford.
Bailly spent last season on loan at Marseille and they didn’t want him back this summer, so United need to get rid of him on one way or other this summer.
