Manchester United youngster James Nolan has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old joined the academy as a child and worked his way through the ranks to reach this milestone.
There surely hasn’t been many prouder moments for the young lad, who was born in Chorley, than being recognised for his progress in United’s academy.
Nolan took to Instagram to react to the exciting news, writing: “Amazing feeling to sign my first professional contract with the club I’ve been with my whole life. Thank you to all my family and coaches who have made the dream possible.”

Furthermore, Nolan is the latest academy product to sign professional terms with the club after Finley McAllister. He spent some time with the first-team on pre-season, so it’s safe to say he is always on Ten Hag’s radar.
Nolan will now aim to impress under Travis Binnon ahead of the Premier League 2 season.
The next step for Nolan is the same as last year. To continue his development and improve as a player. Maybe even to start knocking on the first-team door and soaking in everything like a sponge when he trains with world-class players.
Nolan is still very young and he’s got stiff competition as a right-back with Marc Jurado coming through the ranks at the same time.
Congratulations to Nolan! Hopefully this is the start of another bright chapter.
