Rasmus Hojlund set for Manchester United medical on Tuesday

The moment we’ve been waiting for since last week… news on when Rasmus Hojlund will undergo his medical examinations before completing a transfer to Manchester United.

According to The Athletic, the Denmark striker will travel to Manchester on Tuesday for his medical.

United have an agreement in place with Atalanta to sign the 20-year-old, who is expected to lead the line for the Reds next season. It’s a lot of responsibility but he obviously feels ready for the challenge which needs to be admired.

Hojlund will cost United €75m plus €10m in performance-related add-ons. Furthermore, personal terms won’t be an issue with the striker set to sign a five-year deal at Old Trafford after just one year in Serie A.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on Carrington for updates in the morning. It’s only a matter of time before Hojlund is announced as a United player.

Then questions will be asked about whether he will play in one of the two friendly matches this weekend. United take on Lens at Old Trafford on Saturday before flying to Dublin for another game against Bilbao on Sunday.

I’m just buzzing at the fact Erik ten Hag has a centre-forward for the new season and doesn’t have to rely on Anthony Martial anymore.
