Boca Juniors explore loan for young Manchester United winger

Boca Juniors are reportedly considering making a move to sign Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri on loan during the transfer window.

The Uruguay international has been a Manchester United player since October 2020, but he has only made 10 appearances for the Reds during that time.

Only four of those appearances came in the Champions League and there has been widespread speculation over his future.

Pellistri is currently with the United squad in the United States, and he came on as second half substitute against Real Madrid on Wednesday in Houston. He also featured against Arsenal.

According to journalist Luis Fregossi, Boca are currently keen on the South American, and they’re looking to discuss the possibility of a deal with United.

Pellistri is far down the pecking order at United, but Ten Hag will have to make a decision one way or other. The club must ensure he plays a starring role if he goes on loan again – like Amad Diallo did at Sunderland last term.

The two previous loan spells he went on weren’t very encouraging and counter-productive.
