Dutch football expert convinced Mohammed Kudus would sign for Manchester United

Mohammed Kudus would happily head to Old Trafford if he got the call from former manager Erik ten Hag, according to Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan.

Kudus is on a list of alternative options for the Reds, should they fail in their quest to sign Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund.

The Ghana International has attracted interest from Chelsea and Arsenal, but speaking to Sky Sports, Van der Kraan claimed that a call from Ten Hag would convince Kudus to join United.

Van der Kraan explains: “He is very keen on a move to the Premier League, whether that is a top club in London or Manchester. As soon as Ten Hag would knock on his door, he would go.”

It sounds like it could be a similar situation to when Lisandro Martinez joined from Ajax, and many of Ten Hag’s former players have moved to Old Trafford in the past year. Sofyan Amrabat is another that is being linked with a move before the transfer deadline.

As for kind of player United would be getting, Kudus is a versatile midfield/forward and shouldn’t be described as a centre-forward – like Hojlund.

Ajax didn’t have a great season last term, but Kudus has been the only hope for the Eredivisie giants. That is why I think they would demand a high price from United for the 22-year-old’s signature.
