Romano shares his understanding on Manchester United’s interest in Mbappe + Kane

Fabrizio Romano has shared his understanding of Manchester United’s latest transfer speculation.

Namely, the rumours that the Red Devils are interested in Harry Kane and/or Kylian Mbappe.

The latter’s continued and notorious public fallout with Paris Saint-Germain has led to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal approaching him with an eye-watering €700 million offer; they plan to pay a €300m fee to the Parisians in order to acquire Mbappe on a one-year deal, after which he can make his desired move to Real Madrid.

Ben Jacobs reported that United were among several clubs interested in the wantaway superstar, but Romano has since dismissed these claims.

United’s links with Kane

Kane, 29, has again been linked with United after the latest twist in the tale of his saga at Tottenham Hotspur. Owner Joe Lewis has told Daniel Levy that he should sell the frontman this summer if it looks as though he will not sign a new contract, as they are unwilling to see their all-time top goalscorer leave for free when his current deal expires in 2024.

However, as it stands, Erik ten Hag only has his sights set on Rasmus Hojlund.
