Alex Telles’ transfer to Al Nassr falls through with United yet to receive documents

Manchester United’s deal for Alex Telles’ departure to Al Nassr looks likely to fall through.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Tuesday that the Brazilian international was closing on in a move to the Saudi Pro League side, where he would reunite with his ex-United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Red Devils would’ve received £4 million from the deal for Telles, whom Erik ten Hag is keen to see the back of this summer as he sees no place for the 30-year-old in his squad.

Telles’ exit off for now

However, it appears as though Telles will be sticking around for now, as Romano has confirmed on YouTube tonight that Al Nassr are now scouring the market for other left-back options.

As well as that, United have not been sent the necessary paperwork to complete in order to finalise the transfer, meaning his exit is now unlikely to materialise.

Maybe Ronaldo sent the owners a compilation of Telles’ highlights in Red – talk about underwhelming!

  1. If Ronaldo did actually disrupt the deal, wouldn’t that be “tortious interference” for which he could be held liable?
