Andre Onana in line to make pre-season debut against Arsenal on Saturday

Manchester United supporters are awaiting their first glimpse of Andre Onana between the sticks.

The Red Devils are yet to announce their latest recruit, but reports have confirmed that Onana is a United player, having signed his contract and completed his medical.

He’ll join the club on a five-year deal with the option of extending for a further season, keeping him at Old Trafford until 2028.

As per The Athletic, Onana has a flight booked to join his new teammates in the United States today (Thursday), ahead of the club’s opening pre-season tour fixture against Arsenal on Saturday, July 22.

Onana to make unofficial debut

Assuming his fitness levels are high, The Telegraph reports that the Cameroon international could feature for United for the first time against their fellow Premier League rivals. Whilst this won’t count as his official debut, fans will be looking forward to seeing their new £44 million man in action.

It’ll take some getting used to though, as David de Gea had previously filled the No.1 role for the past 12 years.
