Ten Hag names strong side: confirmed Man United line-up vs Lyon

Manchester United are looking to go two from two in their opening pre-season games and Erik ten Hag has named another strong side against Olympique Lyon this afternoon following the 2-0 win over Leeds United last week.

Ten Hag has welcomed all of his first-team regulars back since that game and Antony and Donny van de Beek, who missed the game against Leeds, are also back available.

Antony makes an immediate return to the side after missing the run-in of last season due to injury, with Amad also named in the side following his impressive performance against Leeds.

It will be interesting to see where they play as they both prefer a role on the right wing, although Amad has shown that he is capable of playing across the frontline.

Casemiro, Fernandes, Rashford and many other first-team regulars are not named in the squad despite returning to training. Jonny Evans could make his second debut for the club after signing a short-term deal to take part in pre-season preparations.

The squad will make the long trip across the pond later on Wednesday as they begin their tour of the United States, with a game against Arsenal awaiting the Reds on Saturday.
