Manchester United youngster set for League One loan move

Manchester United youngster Charlie McNeill is set to depart the club on loan this summer.

According to Richard Fay of Manchester Evening News, the forward will be leaving the club to gain experience with a League One side next season.

The 19-year-old is likely to be one of several outgoings at Carrington this transfer window, though he will only be on a temporary basis. Erik ten Hag is one manager that is keen on developing young talents and prospects so when McNeill returns next year, it may be time to give him a chance in the first-team.

He has only made one six-minute cameo for the senior squad thus far and given the speculation, he’ll be waiting a while to add to his minutes.

McNeill was omitted from the Red Devils’ matchday squad last week when they faced Leeds United last week in a pre-season fixture but as per MEN, it’s because he is preparing for his immninent move away.
