Harry Kane’s entourage still see Manchester United as a potential destination amid Bayern bids

Seems as though we can’t put the Harry Kane rumours to bed just yet…

According to Jan Aage Fjortoft, the Red Devils remain an option for the Tottenham Hotspur frontman.

However, Kane could be nearing a move to Bayern Munich, which would see the 29-year-old move abroad for the first time in his career.

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen met with Daniel Levy in London on Thursday to discuss the reigning Bundesliga champions’ interest in Kane after having two bids swiftly rejected by Spurs.

Dan Kilpatrick adds that the England captain will not force a move away from North London this summer as he wants to keep the situation respectful, but he is keeping his options open.

He is in the final year of his contract, which is why Bayern likely thought they’d be able to tempt Levy with £60 million and £70m offers, however, the chairman is holding out for over £100m to sanction the exit of his star man.

Time for a change of scenery?

Kane now boasts all-time top goalscorer status for both his club and national team, with the only record in his sights being the Premier League top ‘scorer staus –  and he sits 47 goals away.

Despite holding positive talks with new manager Ange Postecoglou, it would be bold to predict that Tottenham are anywhere near a title challenge as it stands. Seemingly, they’re at the start of a much-needed rebuild and do not have any form of European football to look forward to next season.

With Kane approaching 30 and still without the all-elusive silverware he desires, a new venture elsewhere may be the best option.
