Manchester United’s pre-season kicks-off in Norway against Leeds.
It will be an opportunity for new signing Mason Mount to make his non-competitive debut for Manchester United, after a £55m plus £5m switch from Chelsea.
There is some uncertainty over who will start between the posts tomorrow evening in Norway, but I fancy Tom Heaton to get the nod over Dean Henderson.
Aaron Wan-Bisska will start at right-back, while Brandon Williams could get a chance on the opposite flank. At centre-back we can expect to see Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane return to their formidable partnership.
The midfield could consist of Kobbie Mainoo, Fred and Mount.
Up front, it may be a trio of Amad, Shola Shoretire and Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United predicted XI vs Leeds: Heaton; Wan-Bissaka, Martinez, Varane, Williams; Mainoo, Fred, Mount; Amad, Shoretire, Sancho.
We don’t expect any of these players to complete more than 45 minutes (plus stoppage time) because Erik ten Hag will be eager to ensure everyone is making the same progress in terms of match-fitness.
The most important thing is we come away from these pre-season games without any set-backs (injuries & niggles).
