Inter Milan approach Premier League goalkeeper to replace Manchester United-bound Onana

Inter Milan have sought Hugo Lloris as a potential replacement for Andre Onana, who is closing in on a move to Manchester United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal between the Red Devils and Inter should be in place by the end of next week, with Erik ten Hag aiming to bring his new recruit on the club’s pre-season tour later this month.

The Serie A club have recently rejected a €45 million bid for Onana but there is belief that a €55m fee could be enough to get the transfer over the line.

Inter eye Spurs captain

Consequently, Inter are now scouring the market for the Cameroonian’s successor and have identified the Tottenham Hotspur captain as a suitable option, as per L’Equipe.

The experienced veteran has been long linked with a move away from Spurs. Lloris, 36, retired from the France national team in January and saw his season cut short at club level after sustaining a thigh injury in April, which, in hindsight, may have been his last game in England.
