Four Manchester United players spotted returning to Carrington for pre-season training

Manchester United players are starting to return to Carrington ahead of the club’s pre-season tour, which kicks off on July 12.

Dean Henderson, Lisandro Martinez, Antony and Donny van de Beek were all pictured at the training base this morning.

The quartet were due back this week as they have spent the past months recovering from their respective injuries, and will now take to the grass as they finalise their rehabilitations ready for the new season.

Reds that took part on international duty, such as Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, are not scheduled to return until later in July, as they are entitled to a three-week holiday.

Expected exits and new arrivals

Henderson and Van de Beek will likely hold talks with Erik ten Hag upon their arrival, with both players expected to leave the club this summer. The English goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a permanent move to Nottingham Forest after spending the 2022/2023 campaign on loan with the Midlands outfit.

A new face was also spotted at Carrington today – Mason Mount is currently undergoing his medical ahead of his £60 million move to United. Assuming it’s a success, the club will likely announce his arrival later this week.
