Tottenham ready to push back offer for Harry Kane from Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing an offer for Harry Kane, but Tottenham are standing firm on their record goalscorer despite the risk of losing him for free next year when his contract expires.

Reports on Tuesday indicated Bayern Munich had bid €70 million plus performance-related add-ons for the England captain.

PA news agency (cited by The Independent) understands Spurs have not received an official offer from the Bundesliga champions – along with the claim that any bid would be immediately rejected.

Tottenham remain consistent on their stance when it comes to Kane, and one would think they’d prefer to sell the centre-forward to a foreign club rather than a domestic rival.

There’s also a feeling that Kane wants to remain in the Premier League to chase down Alan Shearer’s record Premier League haul of 260 goals.

Kane is only 48 goals away from passing that tally as things stand and they are numbers he could hit in less than two seasons at United.

Will United get their man?

I don’t actually see Kane being allowed to leave Tottenham this summer because nobody is going to pay £100m+ for a player with 12 months left on their contract.

The problem for United is 12 months is a long time to wait for Kane.
