Monaco defender excited by prospect of signing for Manchester United

Manchester United have been boosted in their pursuit of Axel Disasi because it sounds like the AS Monaco star would jump at the opportunity to move to Old Trafford.

That is according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who spoke to GIVEMESPORT about the French defender and his admiration for Manchester United.

Romano claims that the 25-year-old would be delighted to move to United. He said: “They had contact on the player’s side, for sure, for Disasi.

“From what I’m told, the player would be really excited to make a move to Manchester United.”

According to French outlet L’Equipe, Disasi has decided that he wants to play under Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

The report suggests United are close to completing the central defender’s acquisition, which may explain why Bayern Munich have emerged as front runners to sign Napoli’s Kim Min-jae.

They also claim United are willing to meet Monaco’s £43 million valuation.

Ten Hag should be looking to improve his options in defence by signing a centre-back and selling Harry Maguire, but it remains to be seen if United will get any offers for the skipper.

  1. The last two months all we’ve heard that everyone is coming to Manchester like Halland did then they go to others so when you sign you can say they they are of Manchester United

  2. That’s good news, actually. I rate Disasi more than Min-Jae. My hopes for this transfer window have just gone up a notch.

Obviously, it’s time for Maguire to move on – he can restart his career and better enjoy playing at another club – it seems everyone can see that except the man himself.

  3. If United are keeping Lindelof, they need to look at buying a left footed central defender (Gonçalo Inacio or Evan N’Dicka (available on a free transfer))
