Two Manchester United players have been selected by Gareth Southgate to start England’s EURO 2024 qualifying match this evening.

As expected, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw will fill their usual roles from the get-go against Malta, whilst Marcus Rashford will have to wait for his chance, as he has been named on the bench… for some unknown reason!

Kick-off is at 7.45pm for English viewers and the match will be broadcast on Channel 4 or available to stream through the channel’s app.

The Three Lions sit atop Group C on six points, having won their two previous qualifiers.

Reds return to M16 on international duty

After tonight’s clash at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium, the trio of Reds on England duty will then be granted some home comforts, as their next fixture is at Old Trafford on Monday against North Macedonia.

Given Maguire’s uncertain future with United, these matches could be a useful way for him to advertise himself to any interested clubs ahead of a potential summer move.
