Manchester United held discussions over Wolfsburg ace Felix Nmecha

Reports suggest Manchester United have joined Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Felix Nmecha after talks were held with the player’s father.

Borussia Dortmund will be in the market to find someone to fill the void left by Jude Bellingham once the England international signs for Real Madrid.

The Bundesliga club have a strong recruitment team and they tend to read the market very well, so I’m sure they will have a list of alternatives for Bellingham.

However, one player attracting lots of attention is Felix Nmecha, with reports suggesting he is wanted by not just BVB but Manchester United.

According to Sport1, United have already held talks with Nmecha’s father, who also acts as his agent. It is understood the 22-year-old wants to leave Wolfsburg this summer and it could set us back just €15 million.

Nmecha is already familiar with Manchester from his time in City’s academy.

It remains to be seen if United will actually look to make a formal offer for Nmecha, but Ten Hag will need to bolster his midfielder before the start of next season.

The club has already agreed personal terms with Mason Mount, although it looks like Chelsea’s asking price could prove to be a major stumbling block.
