Harry Redknapp jokes about Daniel Levy selling his grandmother amid Harry Kane reports

Harry Redknapp has a good sense of humour and his latest joke about Tottenham Horspur chairman Daniel Levy will make Manchester United fans laugh.

The former Tottenham manager attended a Soccer Aid media event this week as part of England’s coaching staff.

And, Redknapp was his usual cheeky self during an interview as quoted by talkSPORT.

It started with a question about trying to sign Arjen Robben when the retired Dutch winger was playing at Chelsea.

When asked why a move never materialised, Redknapp said: “I don’t know, he went somewhere else!”

Redknapp was quizzed further to see if he though Chelsea and Spurs being London rivals was the issue. That is when he opened up about Daniel Levy’s typical methods as a chairman, which will be music to United fans’ ears.

“Yeah, yeah, Daniel don’t care who he sells to, as long as he gets the money,” Redknapp joked.

“Daniel Levy will sell to anybody. He’d sell his grandmother if he can get the right price!”

United expect to face competition from Real Madrid for Kane’s signature, but there’s a strong feeling in the media that Levy won’t let Tottenham’s top scorer to leave for another Premier League. It doesn’t sound like Redknapp, who worked closely with Levy, agrees with that.
