Manchester United have been linked with Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat.
Speculation began last week that the Red Devils were joining the host of teams interested in acquiring the Moroccan’s signature.
He’s now likely played his last game for the Italian side, too, as he featured in Wednesday’s Europa League Conference final, in which Fiorentina sustained a 2-1 loss to West Ham United.
Ahead of the final, his brother, Nordin, weighed in on the interest surrounding the 26-year-old and admitted that United were among the clubs monitoring him.
He said (via Daily Mail): “He wants to go to the top, you are not going to trade Italy for the middle bracket of the Premier League. At Barcelona, he is high on the list but you know Barca’s financial situation. Of course, you never know, it will be a strong competition when you see which names are going.
“But my brother now has the intention to play in the top, preferably in Spain or England, I think. Ten Hag is now looking for a striker, he wants that first. From there he will see what is possible.
“But I know that Ten Hag is charmed by my brother, he broke through under him (Ten Hag coached Amrabat throughout their time at Utrecht) and they have a good relationship, so who knows.”

Amrabat received plaudits following the World Cup after he played a pivotal role in Morocco’s progression to a third-placed finish, with the national team seen as one of the fairytale stories of the tournament.
A move to Barcelona was on the cards immediately after returning from Qatar, however, the deal failed to materialise.
Now, the midfielder looks set to be granted his desired transfer over the coming weeks.
