Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani has made a fifth bid in attempt to acquire full control of Manchester United.
Not only has Sheikh Jassim submitted a further offer to compete with INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe – he has also set a deadline of Friday, as per Mike Keegan from the Daily Mail.
It is believed that Sheikh Jassim has submitted the bid directly to the Glazers and Raine Group, who are advising the American family on the sale of the club.
The Qatari billionaire has threatened that he will engage up until Friday. After then, the bid will stand, but there will be no further negotiations.
Ben Jacobs added a further update stating that latest offer could be worth $6.5bn, with $1bn pledged on top.
The latest offer went in earlier this week and is understood to be circa $6.5bn, with $1bn of pledged investment on top.

It remains to be seen how the Glazers and Raine Group react to this, but don’t forget Sir Jim Ratcliffe who could have another counter offer to make as he attempts to take control of the club.
Fans will be hoping that the end is near for the Glazers, who have pretty much ran the club into the ground over the past 18 years, but there is a split in the fanbase about who is best suited as new owners.

Why do I get this terrible feeling that we are never going to be rid of the parasites or end up with even more debt and more American parasites even if Ratcliffe buys us he’s going to keep them involved and he will have to borrow the money so putting more debt onto the club and because of that we will actually be in a worse situation than we are now with loads of debt and no cash to improve leaving us even further behind the likes of city and Chelsea plus of course if the sheikh jassim is unsuccessful in the purchase of us and decided to buy the likes of Liverpool or even Everton then we will be lost for ever so please let’s get rid of the glazers and say no to Ratcliffe and his parasite investors

The split in the fanbase is 90% to 10%. Why anybody want the Glazer leeches hanging around in any capacity is beyond me.
Good news to hear in this situation
