Real Madrid pull out of Harry Kane pursuit with United actively monitoring

Real Madrid may be forced to seek alternatives to Harry Kane due to Tottenham Hotspur’s extortionate valuation.

As expected, Daniel Levy will not his star man leave on the cheap.

Spanish outlet AS has reported that Madrid’s interest in Kane has now cooled, as they do not see a way in which they can sanction the arrival of an almost-30-year-old player for over £100 million.

Carlo Ancelotti had earmarked the prolific forward as a replacement for club legend Karim Benzema, who agreed a big-money move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad this week.

Madrid’s reluctance could work in United’s favour

However, it’s looking like that search will continue over the summer transfer window, which could give Manchester United the chance to swoop in and try and lure Kane towards Old Trafford.

Finding the back of the net has proven to be troublesome for the Reds over the past season, hence why an out-and-out No.9 is top of Ten Hag’s summer shortlist.

Kane now boasts all-time top goalscorer status for both his club and national team, and he’s 47 goals away from knocking Alan Shearer off the top ‘scorer spot in the Premier League rankings – has there ever been a more perfect match than Kane in the red of England’s most successful club?

  1. Strange how other media outlets are saying that a meeting was held today between Spurs and Real Madrid and this deal is almost over the line ?. Levy valuation of €100m-110m and RM with €80m-90m. A mutually agreeable fee is not seen as a problem. This would suit everyone. Postecoglou off on holiday so does not have to get directly involved in proceedings but will have significant funds available to him to begin the massive squad rebuild required. Harry off to the World’s number one club to finally collect some silverware. Win/Win situation.
