Most efficient football clubs will be trying to get their business done early this summer. It remains to be seen how quick Manchester United will be to act when the market opens.
I guess it bodes well that there’s already talk of personal terms being agreed for targets such as Mason Mount, who could be on the verge of joining from Chelsea this summer.
However, the latest suggests United have been given a boost in their quest to sign Napoli defender Kim Min-jae as Paris Saint Germain have reportedly withdrawn from the race.
This could potentially put United in pole position to sign the South Korean centre-back. And, it goes without saying that he would be an upgrade on the likes of Harry Maguire.
There had been reported interest from PSG, but RMC Sport claim the 26-year-old is edging towards a move to the Premier League instead.
A report read: “According to our information, Paris will not go any further with regard of Kim Min-jae called up to join the Premier League. The Napoli defender is too expensive.”
Kim has only spent one season in Italy and he’s already a Serie A winner. We need to be adding players to the squad who know what it takes to win a domestic title. You can never have too many of them.
