Thiago Silva has reacted to Mason Mount’s potential Chelsea exit after the midfielder agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
It was reported late on Wednesday evening by The Telegraph that an agreement had been reached between Mount and the Red Devils, with the club now expecting his arrival to be Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the summer window.
United and Chelsea are yet to settle on a fee for the transfer, as the Blues are keen on receiving their money’s worth for the 24-year-old, whose assist led to the club to their second Champions League title back in 2021.
Mount’s contract will expire at the end of next season and Chelsea are hesitant to see him leave as a free agent.
Arsenal and Liverpool were also well in pursuit of the Cobham academy graduate but talks with Ten Hag swung the race in United’s favour.
