Arsenal plan bid for Manchester United target after Europa Conference League final

Declan Rice continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United, although it feels like the West Ham midfielder is closer to a move to Arsenal.

Erik ten Hag is planning to add to his midfield this summer, with United already agreeing personal terms with Chelsea star Mason Mount, with one year remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.

When it comes to other midfield targets my guess is that will depend on how much money Ten Hag has left to spend at the end of the window. Ideally, he would get a new defensive midfielder to shift some of the game load off Casemiro next season.

One player I am referring to could be West Ham’s Declan Rice.

New reports suggest Declan’s dad has been holding transfer discussions with United, although it is understood that Arsenal are leading the race for the England international’s signature.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will submit an official bid after the Europa Conference League final which will take place on 7 June 2023.

The Eden Arena in Prague will host Fiorentina vs West Ham in an eagerly awaited final, and it could prove to be Rice’s final game for the Hammers.

Meanwhile, the Florence side have become the first side to reach the final of all four major UEFA knockout competitions: the European Cup/Champions League, UEFA Cup/Europa League, Europa Conference League and the defunct European Cup Winners’ Cup, which they won in 1961.
