Bruno Fernandes weighs in on Goncalo Ramos’ move to Manchester United amid links

Bruno Fernandes has heaped praise on Manchester United-linked forward Goncalo Ramos.

Erik ten Hag has seemingly outlined the attacker on his list of striker targets this summer as he looks to recruit a prolific No.9 to fill the void up front.

Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen may be ahead of Ramos in his rankings but should he fail to obtain either of the pair, attention could switch to the 21-year-old Portugal star.

Ramos has netted 27 goals in all competitions across the 2022/2023 campaign and contributed to a further 12 goals in assists. He played a pivotal role in Benfica securing yet another Primeira Liga title, hence why the board will be unwilling to oversee his exit in the coming months.

Still, if United table a bid that is simply too lucrative to reject, Ramos could be on his way to Old Trafford.

Fernandes on Ramos

He’d find fellow national teammates Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes waiting for him, and the latter recently sang his praises and hinted at a potential Premier League switch for the youngster.

He said (via A Bola): “The best always come in handy, be it Goncalo Ramos or another player. I think he has all the qualities to play in the Premier League, and when I say Premier League, I also mean Manchester United. I think he could become a great reference in the coming years, but it’s still not in my hands to be a sports director.”
