United youngster garners interest from England and Netherlands while Ten Hag mulls over his future

Amad Diallo is already garnering interest from clubs after a sensational campaign on loan at Sunderland. 

Erik ten Hag is yet to make a decision on Amad’s future and, obviously, he has time to mull over it. He’ll certainly use pre-season and training over the summer to determine whether he feels the attacker has a place in the squad after the break.

The Ivorian is on the back of a scintillating breakout season with the Black Cats. His form was pivotal in the side reaching the play-off semi-finals and he finished the term as the club’s top goalscorer with 13 Championship goals to his name, as well as three assists.

Having started 27 league matches, game time will be a driving factor in Amad’s preference for his whereabouts next season.

Clubs monitoring Amad’s situation over summer

According to Alan Nixon via his Patreon update account (reluctantnicko), the winger is open to a return to the Stadium of Light provided Tony Mowbray remains manager.

Mowbray has already made it clear numerous times that he would love to have Amad back at the club.

As well as Sunderland, Feyenoord are keen on pursuing a deal, however, it is unconfirmed whether this is on a loan or permanent basis.

A report from 1908.nl states that two years ago, Amad was close to completing a loan move to Feyenoord but the deal fell through due to him sustaining an injury in United training.

The article adds: “Internally, discussions are being held these days to make another attempt to bring the right winger to De Kuip.”
