Marcus Rashford wins Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year to complete double-sweep on awards night

Marcus Rashford has won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award and the Players’ Player of the Year.

It’ll come as no surprise to Manchester United supporters, as the 25-year-old has enjoyed the most prolific and scintillating season of his career so far.

Rashford’s latest contribution against Chelsea made him the first United player to hit the 30-goal mark since Robin van Persie in the 2012/2013 campaign.

He has provided for the club on so many crucial occasions this term, including the winning goal against Liverpool and Manchester City at Old Trafford, a goal against Barcelona at the Camp Nou and the winner to end United’s six-year trophy drought in the Carabao Cup final.

Like Manchester, Rashford is Red

As an academy graduate, he has always been one player that the Old Trafford faithful take such pride in with every year that goes by. He is Red through and through and is a fan just like the rest of us.

Hopefully, his exhilarating form can long continue, especially in this Saturday’s FA Cup final!
