Report suggests Marcus Rashford is not available to face Bournemouth amid doubts

Manchester United set off for the south coast on Friday afternoon ahead of today’s game against Bournemouth, but Erik ten Hag will be without Marcus Rashford.

The Manchester Evening News had photographers at Manchester airport and they ran a report suggesting that Marcus Rashford was not seen arriving with his teammates.

They stated in the same report that this didn’t mean they wouldn’t be available with the full squad, after Erik ten Hag confirmed United’s top goalscorer was a doubt for the game due to illness.

With 29 goals to his name this season, it goes without saying that missing Rashford is a huge blow for United but at least Alejandro Garnacho has returned in time to take up that position on the left flank.

The MEN live blog has stared another update on Rashford and it doesn’t sound like he will be available for today’s 3pm kick-off.

The latest report states: “The word is Rashford hasn’t travelled with the United squad. He was conspicuous by his absence when the squad flew down yesterday and he usually drives himself to the airport car park where the players are photographed.”

I know we got on just fine last week against Wolves without Rashford, but that was at home and it’s our away form that worries me.

We can have no excuses at full-time. United need a win and nothing less!
