Manchester United’s Anthony Martial has given a confident verdict on the race for a top-four finish.
The Red Devils embark on their final away trip of the season tomorrow when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
There are then just two Premier League fixtures remaining for United against Chelsea and Fulham and hopefully, they can secure Champions League football for next term by seeing out wins.
United currently have Liverpool breathing down their necks from fifth place, as one point currently separates the rivals, though Jurgen Klopp’s side have played one more game.
Cementing fourth, or even third, would round off a positive first campaign under Erik ten Hag’s tenure, as well as give supporters optimism heading into 2023/2024.
Martial talks top four
Ahead of tomorrow’s outing, Martial spoke to the press on the club’s current quest ahead of them. He netted the opening goal in last week’s clash vs Wolverhampton Wanderers and with Marcus Rashford currently a doubt, he’ll need to provide the goods again this time around.
The Frenchman said (Via Football Daily): “Winning our next games is important to achieve our season objective. It’s in our hands and we will do everything we can to try and achieve top four.”
