Erik ten Hag previews trip to face Bournemouth on final away day of the season

Manchester United are on the road for the final time this weekend to take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Given how poor the Reds’ form has often been away from home, it’ll be relieving to get the final match done before returning to their home comforts for the end of the campaign.

United take on the Cherries at 3pm tomorrow in a bid to strengthen their grip on a top-four finish, so taking all three points is crucial on Saturday.

After being considered relegation candidates earlier on in the term, Gary O’Neil has performed an outstanding turnaround to keep Bournemouth safe from the drop and ready for another season in the top flight.

They currently sit 14th placed and have picked up wins against the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in recent months.

Ten Hag talks Bournemouth

Ahead of his side’s trip down South, Ten Hag lauded the Cherries and previewed the match (quotes via the Man Utd website).

“I think, as far as I can see, it’s really brilliant that a club like Bournemouth [have been] that long in the Premier League [over the years] and now already, before the end of the season, they are definitely safe for next season in the Premier League as well.

“So, I think it’s a massive performance from them, it’s a good team, it’s a really good structure in that team, you can see clear patterns. So, well done.”
