Harry Kane is not talking like a player keen to leave Tottenham Hotspur, which may be a concern for Manchester United.
The England captain has been linked with the Red Devils for a few years now but more prominently this season.
United are in dire need of a prolific striker and Kane’s quest for a trophy at Spurs continues to grow bleaker, with the club set to miss out on a Champions League spot and another poor campaign under their belt. For both parties, it seems like a match made in heaven.
Kane keen to make history at Spurs
However, it appears as though Kane may be set on being a one-club man. A move away from the Premier League is almost certainly ruled out this summer, as the striker is chasing Alan Shearer’s record of being the league’s all-time top goalscorer, and is currently just 51 goals away. With his numbers each season, it’s well within touching distance.
But would he move to another top-four rival? In a recent interview, Kane sounded adamant about staying at the North London club as they embark on another attempt at success under a new, unconfirmed manager. After all, an extended deal with Spurs is yet to be ruled out for the 29-year-old.
He said (via Football Daily): “On the pitch, I always give 110%, I always give my all for the team and the club. I think off the pitch, to have those conversations with the chairman and with the staff, and try and give my opinion on some of the things that I think could help us. To be more consistent and more successful in the culture that we try and set.
“We need to try and find a way to create that environment that drives success.”
Kane is seeing out his contract at Tottenham. Why are there these non stop blogs etc from United fans about him moving to Old Trafford?
