Fabrizio Romano names player who ‘dreams’ of getting a chance at Man United

Amad Diallo is enjoying his breakthrough campaign as a senior player but his future at Manchester United is increasingly uncertain despite his stunning form for Sunderland.

The 20-year-old is Sunderland’s top goalscorer this season and recently fired his side into the Championship play-offs after a highly dramatic final day of action.

The young Ivorian’s stunning strike against Preston was enough to seal a sixth-place finish for the Black Cats and after the game, journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has revealed some insight into the player’s thinking in regards to his future.

Amad’s time at United has been stop-start and his first-team chances have been limited but as per the reporter, that has not deterred the exciting winger.

As per the report, as seen above, Amad ‘dreams’ of getting a chance at United and is hopeful that he will be given first-team opportunities next season. The player is said to ‘love’ the club as he prepares to bid his farewells at the Stadium of Light after the play-offs.

SN’s verdict…
Amad was part of Erik ten Hag’s pre-season squad last summer and the decision to send him out on loan came during the club’s tour of Thailand and Australia.

The move was, however, not finalised until after pre-season and Amad was given the chance to impress the manager. It may be difficult for him to break into the first team next season, however.

Antony, who plays in Amad’s preferred position, was brought in for mammoth money last season and Facundo Pellistri has enjoyed increasing minutes on the pitch. Jadon Sancho is also up for consideration in that position, which makes things difficult for Amad.
