(Video) Amad Diallo scores outrageous winner to send Sunderland into play-offs

Amad Diallo is continuing his stunning season on loan at Sunderland this season and the young Ivorian has now etched his name into the club’s history books after he was at his brilliant best once more on Monday afternoon.

Sunderland are chasing a return to the top flight, having been all the way down into League One following back-to-back relegations after they dropped out of the Premier League in 2017.

There is hope now, however. An Amad-inspired Sunderland produced a dominant second-half display in their final league game against Preston.

Amad scored the first goal, the winner, in some fashion. After a failed attempt to play it pasts the hosts, the 20-year-old lashed at the ball first time and found the top corner, as seen below.

Amad’s unstoppable strike was the first of three Sunderland goals on the day and the winger’s 13th of the season – ending the league campaign as Sunderland’s top goalscorer.

The winner was enough for Sunderland to clinch sixth place in the Championship, setting up a mouthwatering play-off semi-final tie, with a place at Wembley and promotion at stake.
