(Video) Erik Ten Hag sends Alejandro Garnacho performance warning

Manchester United recently announced that Alejandro Garnacho has signed a new contract.

Garnacho, 18, has enjoyed a hugely impressive breakthrough campaign which has seen him score two goals and provide two assists in just four Premier League starts.

And consequently, rewarded for his fine form, as well as his huge potential, United were understandably pleased to have successfully extended the Argentine’s deal until 2028.

Confirming the young winger’s new contract via their official website, Football Director John Murtough said: “Alejandro has really dedicated himself to achieving the objectives that the club set out for him since he arrived in Manchester.”

And now set to see his status in United’s first-team improve, manager Erik Ten Hag has been quick to remind the South American that a lot more will be expected of him from now on.

“He also shows he can make the final step and not only, not only the talent but also yeah, he made it,” Ten Hag told reporters recently.

“But now it’s a new start or restart and because now the expectations will be higher, the demands definitely will be higher and he has come his way.”
