(Video) Ten Hag previews Spurs clash following their humiliation on Tyneside

Erik ten Hag is well aware of Tottenham Hotspur’s need to see out a positive result tomorrow evening.

Spurs were thoroughly embarrassed at St. James’ Park last weekend after they suffered a 6-1 defeat to a rampant Newcastle United.

Five of the Magpies’ goals came in the opening 21 minutes, leaving the Tottenham players red-faced and humiliated from their dismal defending.

The squad have since opted to reimburse their travelling supporters who made the trip on Sunday and have promised a reaction on Thursday when facing Manchester United on home turf.

Ahead of the game, Ten Hag was quizzed on United’s opponents and the threat they may pose in their bid to bounce back.

They [Spurs] had a really bad defeat and of course they are mad and that can be fuel for bouncing back. But like I said, it is about us. An opponent can never be more hungry [than] we [are]. That is how we have to prepare for the game and we have to be ready to go on the front foot and be dominant and dictate the game.”
