FA Cup final time confirmed: Manchester United vs Man City

The kick-off time for the 2023 FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City has been confirmed.

In what will be the first Manchester derby in an FA Cup final, it has been confirmed that kick-off is at 3pm on June 3 at Wembley.

It takes place a week on from the conclusion of the Premier League season and United be hoping to have secured Champions League football by then.

An official statement from the FA said (via Manchester Evening News): “The 2022-23 Emirates FA Cup final between Manchester City and rivals Manchester United will kick off at 3pm.

“The first FA Cup final between the Manchester clubs will take place on Saturday 3 June at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.

“The match will be broadcast in the UK on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, ITV, ITVX, UTV, STV and STV Player.

“Winning and losing clubs in the final will receive £2 million and £1 million respectively from the competition’s prize fund.

“More details on the FA Cup final will be released in due course.”

Last year’s final between Liverpool and Chelsea kicked off at 5pm, but it is understood that the FA wanted the match to begin no later than 4:45pm to help the thousands travelling to London for the game.

City booked their place I the final after a 3-0 win over Sheffield United on Wednesday. They are expected to be favourites ahead of the game.

United will be looking for a repeat of their last final at Wembley – after beating Newcastle in the Carabao Cup earlier this year.
