Erik ten Hag provides key Manchester United team news update ahead of midweek Spurs trip

Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur in North London on Thursday evening in an 8.15pm kick-off.

Spurs’ interim coach Ryan Mason provided his team news ahead of tomorrow’s game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with three players currently doubts for the crucial top-four clash; Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies and Clement Lenglet.

Erik ten Hag has also addressed media regarding the Red Devils squad and the one question on everybody’s lips was about the availability of Bruno Fernandes.

The Portugal international played 101 minutes of United’s FA Cup semi-final against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend and often looked in discomfort with an ankle issue throughout the tie.

Fernandes’ wife then shared a picture on Instagram of him recovering at home this week, which sparked concern amongst supporters when a protective boot and crutches were spotted next to the midfielder.

Ten Hag on Fernandes

When quizzed on Fernandes’ fitness, Ten Hag said (via MUTV): “We have to see how Bruno Fernandes is. We don’t know yet, he is a question mark.”

In other areas of the squad, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are unfit to feature against Spurs.

On a more positive note, Alejandro Garnacho is back in training. Tomorrow’s outing will come too soon for the teenager, but it’s exciting to know his return to action is around the corner.
