Manchester United booked their place in the FA Cup final this afternoon after a penalty shootout victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.
One Red, in particular, caught Gary Neville’s eye for their performance across the afternoon – Victor Lindelof.
Wow @vlindelof ! What a pen and MOM!

The Sweden international has been used sparingly this season but injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane mean Lindelof will likely be used regularly for the remainder of the campaign.
Today, he was paired with Luke Shaw in defence. The left-back was deployed centrally in Harry Maguire’s absence, as the club captain was suspended for the semi-final.
Lindelof’s performance
All of United’s backline did a stellar job across the 120-minute stint, which still wasn’t enough to break the deadlock between the sides.
Lindelof especially had an exceptional game, as proven by the statistics shared by Statman Dave.
Victor Lindelof’s game by numbers vs. Brighton:
85% pass accuracy
5 clearances
4 ground duels won
2/2 dribbles completed
2 long balls completed
1 interception
1 shootout penalty scoredIce man. 🥶 pic.twitter.com/gTSms8a2Oq

He also had the honour (and pressure!) of netting the winning penalty to send the Reds to the final, in which they will face rivals Manchester City on June 3.
