Erik ten Hag has suffered his first major setback in charge of Manchester United after his side were eliminated from the Europa League following a 5-2 aggregate defeat to Sevilla in the quarter-finals.
United threw the tie away in the first leg, letting a two-goal lead slip with 10 minutes remaining of the match before being overturned in the return leg.
Only time will tell how United respond to the embarrassment in Andalusia but Ten Hag has a huge job on his hand to force his side into the FA Cup final on Sunday.
The defeat to Sevilla was followed by reports that Ten Hag has reportedly made his mind up on a number of senior players, with the Dutchman set to head a widespread clearout of the squad this summer.
Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jadon Sancho are among the players Ten Hag is ready to part ways with, with midfielders Fred and Scott McTominay all on the chopping list as well.
