Axel Disasi willing to snub West Ham for bigger club

It appears Axel Disasi is going to be a man in demand this summer.

The AS Monaco defender has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, with reports suggesting the Reds could sign the 25-year-old for €40 million this summer.

There’s been an update with interest from another potential suitor in the Premier League, but the France international may have other ideas.

French journalist Ignazio Genuardi took to Twitter to reveal West Ham’s interest on Tuesday, as cited by Sport Witness.

Genuardi claims the towering centre-back is ‘followed very closely’ by West Ham, who are said to have travelled to watch him ‘several times’ over the past few months.

That said, there has been similar reports about United in recent weeks.

However, in a blow to West Ham, Disasi has ambitions to join a bigger club in the summer but they are aware of David Moyes’ admiration.

Disasi and his representatives will be careful not to turn down any offers too early. A premature judgement could potentially close doors they don’t want to close just yet.

There is no guarantee that United will come knocking, although his stats at centre-back are impressive to say the least. Disasi has six goals and four assists in 42 appearances for Monaco this term.

Disasi could potentially come in as a replacement if one – or both – of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are to leave at the end of the season.
