West Ham ready to submit bid to sign Manchester United star

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one of several players at Manchester United who could be shown the door in a bid to fund other incomings in this summer’s transfer window.

The 25-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at the club and there are no indications that a new deal is in the pipeline for the defender.

Wan-Bissaka started the season on the fringes and by the time the season was paused to accommodate last winter’s World Cup, Diogo Dalot had started all but one of United’s competitive games.

The untimely hamstring injury Dalot sustained in that tournament allowed Wan-Bissaka to stake his claim again and it’s safe to say that he has grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

Since the turn of the year, Dalot’s form has taken a nosedive and Wan-Bissaka has emerged as Ten Hag’s first-choice option on the right-hand side.

But there are still question marks over his future and now, there are suggestions that West Ham are interested in the defender. That’s according to Football Insider, who say that David Moyes’ men are monitoring the situation.

As per the report, the Hammers are ready to table a bid to sign Wan-Bissaka this summer, following up on their longstanding interest in the former Crystal Palace star.

It’s added that West Ham’s interest in Wan-Bissaka is, however, reliant on the London Stadium club staying in the top flight as they remain in a relegation battle.

This development is the latest sign that there could be some developments in the right-back department this summer, with rumours of a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong gaining momentum with each passing week.
