Fabrizio Romano claims Brighton will fight to keep hold of duo linked with Manchester United

Brighton & Hove Albion will be eager to keep hold of their star players after an impressive Premier League campaign.

The Seagulls are currently 7th in the league table, a place ahead of Liverpool, despite having a game in-hand over the Scousers.

In turn, Manchester United have been linked with a number of their players such as Alexis Mac Allister, Evan Ferguson and Moises Caicedo.

According to a recent report, Erik ten Hag has added Mac Allister and Caicedo to United’s midfielder wish list ahead of the transfer window.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has explained Brighton’s stance on their two best midfielders amid mounting interest from several clubs.

It sounds like the Seagulls will be bracing themselves for a challenging summer, but they will be fighting to keep at least one of their midfield stars.

In an exclusive column for CaughtOffside, Romano wrote: “Both Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo have hopes of moving to a top, top club in the summer but Brighton are always strong when it comes to negotiating for their players so they will definitely fight to keep at least one of them.

“Even though the pair are wanted by other teams, at this stage, I am not aware of advance talks with any, including Manchester United.”
