Premier League club considered moving for Cristiano Ronaldo in January

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United in January after his second spell at the club ended in tears. It is now believed that another Premier League club considered a move for the Portuguese forward at the time.

Following Erik ten Hag’s arrival at Old Trafford, Ronaldo’s role at the club diminished and it was something the 38-year-old struggled to deal with…

Ronaldo behaved in a petulant manner and did an exclusive tell-all interview with Piers Morgan, during which he criticised United from top to bottom.

That was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur considered signing Ronaldo as Daniel Levy and Antonio Conte discussed the topic before deciding against making a move for the veteran.

It’s hard to see where Ronaldo would have fit in at Tottenham, and I don’t think he would have boosted their chances of finishing in the top four.

Ronaldo is currently playing his football in Saudi Arabia.
