Victor Lindelof starts and captains Sweden in EURO qualifier vs Belgium

Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof starts and captains the Sweden national team this evening.

The Swedes take on Belgium in a UEFA Euro qualifying match at the Friends Arena.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Dejan Kulusevski also starts, as well as Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, who has been deployed up front to lead the line.

On the other side of the pitch, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne takes his usual spot at the heart of the midfield, whilst former Red Romelu Lukaku fills the No.9 role.

Lindelof has been utilised sparingly under Erik ten Hag this season but always performs well when called upon, hence why he is a trusted lieutenant in his national side.

Reds on international duty

Elsewhere in international action, Marcel Sabitzer also starts and captains Austria against Azerbaijan, and Tyrell Malacia and Wout Weghorst have made the bench for Netherlands’ clash with France.

United return to action on April 2, so hopefully, all players return to Old Trafford fit and ready for action.
