Sheikh Jassim reportedly makes £6 billion revised bid – meeting Glazers’ valuation

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has reportedly made a bid of £6 billion to take over Manchester United.

That is according to Sportico, which confirmed the Qatar-based investor has finally sent his bid over to the Raine Group – two days after the planned deadline.

If true, £6 billion would meet the Glazer family’s valuation of the club, meaning a full sale could be on its way.

The report also suggests that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s revised bid does not match Sheikh Jassim’s, so the Englishman may now be out of the race.

Al Thani also held a further two rounds of meetings with United’s current owners after sending a delegation to Old Trafford last week for face-to-face meetings.

Takeover updates in full flow

The coming days could be pivotal to the future of the club and we will continue to update as the process progresses and more information is revealed to supporters.
