Thierry Henry claims Napoli starlet Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would be “the full package” for Manchester United.
Interestingly, the 22-year-old was referenced as a Manchester United target by former Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri earlier this week, and now former Arsenal man Henry has done the same.
Ahead of Napoli’s Champions League last-16 second leg with Eintracht Frankfurt, Henry has detailed what Kvaratskhelia would bring to any team.
Speaking to CBS Sports in America, Henry said (via The Mirror): “He can press. He can hold the ball. He can see a pass.
“He has the legs to go on the break with Osimhen. This is why they understand each other very well because, once Osimhen opens his legs, it’s not easy to catch up with him. But he is with him the whole time.
“He’s just the full package. Hopefully, it can carry on for him and they can win the league. If they don’t win the league, it will be crazy because of the number of points that they have ahead. Winning the Champions League will be crazy.”
Vieri went a step ahead with his praise of the Georgian and suggested Kvaratskhelia would become United’s modern version of George Best if he was to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Speaking to Bobo TV, as cited by The Mirror, Vieri said: “The goal he scored was the stuff of madness! If he goes to Manchester United, the days of George Best will return. Kvaratskhelia is the same.”
While there has been speculation linking Kvaratskhelia to a number of top clubs, some which are in the Premier League, it would be a stress to suggest there has been anything solid reported on United’s apparent interest.
Kvaratskhelia is argubly the most exciting young player in Italy right now and he’s bound to be linked with all of Europe’s elite clubs this summer if Napoli can go all the way and win the Serie A title.
