Fulham midfielder linked with summer switch to Old Trafford

Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle are also said to want Fulham star Joao Palhinha in what seems a classic case of a selling club trying to spark a bidding war.

Manchester United will be in the market for midfielders in the summer. Preferably one option for the starting eleven, Marcel Sabitzer at the right price and a defensive midfielder to provide a back-up option for Casemiro.

Fulham are enjoying a good season in the Premier League and Joao Palhinha deserves a lot of credit for that. The Portuguese midfielder has been excellent this season and key behind some of their biggest results.

It’s perhaps not surprising, then, to see the likes of The Sun suggesting United have joined the race for the 27-year-old midfielder, who joined Fulham for £20 million last summer.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail suggest Jurgen Klopp is quite serious about adding Palhinha to his squad in the summer.

He could cost north of £60m which would be a hefty price for the Fulham star!

Palhinha would be an expensive back-up option for Casemiro…
