Robbie Savage was visibly emotional as he celebrated his son Charlie’s first goal for Forest Green Rovers.
Former Wales star Robbie Savage was left fighting back tears on live TV on Saturday evening after his son scored his first goal in senior football — on loan from Manchester United at Forest Green Rovers.
His dad was on duty for BT Sport Score when he learnt that his 19-year-old had scored against Bristol Rovers in League One.
Savage couldn’t contain himself as he interrupted the show with a loud cheer.
“My boy’s scored!” before punching the air.
He added: “Go on my boy! Yes! What a goal, when I see it! Class man, all he’s been through do you know what I mean, so proud of him.”
"My boy has scored!" 💚
