Manchester United go to Anfield in fine form, but we know that goes out the window whenever these two rivals clash.
Liverpool are slowly but surely entering the top four race, so we should be looking to put a dent to their plans as well as strengthen our position in the top four. Getting back into the Champions League is our ultimately objective this season and we’ve already lifted the Carabao Cup.
On top of that, United recently knocked Barcelona out of the Europa League. We’ve also reached the FA Cup quarter-finals after beating West Ham 3-1 at Old Trafford.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has had a dire season, so he’s getting nowhere near the team, and I thought Diogo Dalot was magnificent before picking up his injury after the World Cup. Hopefully he can start producing those standards again soon.
Our centre-back pairing of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez has been up there with the best in the league this season, while Liverpool’s back four appears to have forgotten how to defend. I wonder if Jamie Carragher still thinks Licha is too short to be a centre-back in the Premier League? Anyhow, Luke Shaw’s place is something that should go without saying since he’s been the best left-back in the Premier League this season.
Casemiro, again, has been the best defensive midfielder in the league — by some distance. And, I can’t think of a single Liverpool midfielder who warrants a place in midfield over Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes.
Mohammed Salah gets the nod on the right, with Marcus Rashford played centrally, and Alejandro Garnacho on the opposite flank.
